Brue - It also feels like halfway through the morning here. My husband got up at 05.00. The alarm was set for 05:15, but a calving cow was bellowing across the yard. Milking done, breakfast eaten, but lots to do before we get away - maybe by dinnertime?
Then 3.5 hours later we can unhitch and RELAX!0 -
Enjoy your trip Goldie.
Didn't start my day as early as you and Brue , in fact still in my bed . Ain't modern technology and equipment great???
Even seen short video of new arrival, good set of lungs! Apparently feeding well, family trait there too, but her father's side!!!

We've just got up to lovely sunny morning here on Northbrook Farm CC site. Nice to be back in the caravan. Our two days away enabled us to defrost the fridge/freezer. We still have the job of putting up the awning.
Why did you have to take it down Malcolm, was it to enable the grass to be cut up to it?

Write your comments here...It's the Caravan Club rules that require it to be taken down after 21 nights. I suppose it's also for safety in case of a storm whilst we're away.
Anyhow, the awning is up now and we're just putting the finishing touches to it. We managed to get it done in time before starting work.

Done 5 deliveries so far today. It's now getting easier and quicker to do the deliveries as dinnertogo are offering customers online payment options. It means we don't have to collect payment at the door. We just deliver. Much faster especially during busy

Onsite CC Wifi working well. No EE mobile signal.
Cream scones and G&T for tea. iPod playing good music. Rain beating down on the roof. But who cares?
Ill think about our evening meal later (M & S finest)
Life is good
Write your comments here...Good thinking, Goldie. It's always nice to have an aperitif before a meal!

We've just been shopping at the town centre Tesco and bought a bottle of white wine for £3.95 and a reduced price sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice for tonights meal which just has to be heated in the microwave for 4 mins. We also bought some sausages, bacon and tomatoes for breakfast for tomorrow morning along with some reduced price bread finger rolls.
We've still got three more hours at work, so we're keeping our food and wine chilled in the electric cool box at the back of the car plugged into the 12 volt cigar lighter. It's just as good as a fridge.
Total cost just over £13.

Turned out to be a lovely day after waking up to rain first thing. Rode the bikes through the woods, lots of red Kites about today in the sunshine. Have noticed this time that the woods have been much quieter than usual, far less families out and about.

Write your comments here...Could that be something to do with the football? I couldn't help noticing how much quieter the roads were when England were playing!
It's raining here in the Worthing town centre where we are sitting in the car waiting for the next order.

It was quiet there too after the weekend, when we were there towards the end of May. While you were cycling round did you notice how much of the forest has been open up? Very different from the last time we visited.

Yes, they have been clearing areas, although not much more since we were here in August last year. They are digging up the courtyard area in front of the cafe and cycle shop, which may be keeping visitors away. Site
only half full tonight, although warden said they are expecting a few in tomorrow.0 -

It's a bit grey here this morning. It's our second morning since returning to Northbrook Farm. We'll need to go to the bank to bank the weekend's earnings this morning to keep funds flowing in to cover forthcoming direct debit payments.
We also have some huge expenses coming up. The annual car service is due next month. Last time I had an annual service the bill came to over £700. The car also needs new tyres so that bill will come to about £600. Yesterday, I had to fill more fuel into the car. I just bought £29 worth. It's quicker that way because I can use contactless payment as long as the bill is under £30. Much faster than pin and chip!
However, the downside is that it does mean having to visit the petrol station more often. On a busy day I can use £15 worth of fuel in one day!
On average, I think I do 50 miles a day in deliveries. On a weekend it's busier and the mileage can go up to between 80 to 90 miles a day.
I reckon each mile costs about 25 pence in fuel. So just getting from the club site to the town centre, a distance of 4 miles is a one pound hit to my finances. There and back costs 2 quid.

moving to Broadway, later this morning, hoping for better weather than we've had here in Ludlow.
shame, as the Huck's Barn Farm CL is a lovely place to sit out, but not in the rain....
cycled out to Berrington Hall yesterday but got slightly 'damp' on the way back....
well, we need some sunshine and a decent performance from England otherwise there'll be trouble....
however, thanks to my darling OH, we will be having dinner with some 'real' footballers on the 30th July......
