Leader of the Labour Party, at a guess.

Jeremy Clarkson?
How did I know someone would come up with that. He is a complete waste of time, talk about silver spoons. Actually one of my relis is related to him in a roundabout way.

So you're saying you have started a discussion about going to see the leader of the Labour Party Molly? Like others, I assumed you must be joking given the Community Guidelines covering politics.
Where do you see this discussion going from here?
Cheers

Bugs are You telling me that I have started a political thread by saying I'm going to see the leader of the Labour Party and asked if anyone else was going? The thread can go wherever it wants for me.

No, I asked you where you thought a discussion like this would go from here?
If folks just respond that they are/are not going, I don't see an issue.
As you know, if it develops into a political discussion, it will have to be temporarily closed and referred to the Community Manager.
Cheers

As I have said bugs it is upto other people where it goes, I don't try to control what other people do or say. If you want to close it close it that's down to you.

It would have helped if you had made it clear what the discussion was about from the beginning Molly, rather than the cryptic title.
You could also have asked folks to stick to answering your question when responding and not veering off into political discussion.
In answer to your point above - contrary to what some seem to believe, we try to keep discussions open! No reason to close this one at the moment.
Cheers

Bugs the only person that as mentioned politics is you. Me thinks you only want to argue instead of seeing where the discussion would go, and at that I am out of here.

I saw him speak on a memorably hilarious evening on his "alimony" tour a couple of years back. He spoke briefly about his early life in the West Country, his joining a group of fellow souls and the way he rose to prominence amongst them by bouncing the most outrageous and random ideas off them.
Never afraid to tell a joke at his own expense, he mentioned the way some people laughed at the disability which produced a funny walking style, his sadness at the early death of a pet parrot he'd bought and his bumbling attempts at tact by not mentioning the war in front of a visiting German delegation.
If he wasn't such an obviously self-deprectaing man, one would think his latest TV appearances were a rather pathetic sign of neediness (why else stooop to attacking a police vehicle?).
One of the nicest and certainly funniest men Britain has produced over the past 50 years or so!
