This is somewhat like the thread on the price/quality of club sites and why use them and I'll give the same answer.

There seems to be a lot of people posting on this thread who dislike CT as it is now, posting how dull and over moderated it is and therefore not to going to carry on posting, or that its needs this or that, and yet, and yet, they keep on posting! I can't
get my head round that at all, As I said in the sites' thread no one is forced to go to club sites, and so one
no one is forced to post on CT. If there are other forums that suit your needs better then sinply go there. I am not going to debate if CT (and club sites) are perfect but a lot of people like it and keep on posting (and going
to sites so it seems to be perfect for them.

If you don't like CT don't post on it, but if you do then you must abide by the rules and guidelines that you voluntarily signed up for, or face the consequences. I suspect that is the problem for some who feel these rules do not apply to them or think they
can just post whatever they want.

The moral of this thread is ------ No member should suggest that the forum could be improved.  To do so incurs the wrath of the "This forum is perfect" brigade.

This forum is NOT perfect.  It was much better when it first went live.   It could benefit from a number of improvements.

Some people need to clean their "Rose tinted Glasses"

Who has said its perfect, K? If you've read that then it is your glasses that need fixing. We all know it's not perfect but constantly moaning about the T&Cs on here and complaining when mods carry out the job they are tasked with is going to achieve nothing.
Unhappy people like you should take matters up with CC or, if they chose to use the forum, do it according to the rules. Those very rules were put in place because of the mayhem caused in the early days when people posted with no thought for decency and no
    consideration for others.

I'm actually surprised that you still post here, K, given the numerous good forums you use.

Write your comments here...Thank you for proving my point so well, I too mentioned that the forum could be improved --- See what I mean folks.   The wrath of those people even
extends to  telling other people that they are unhappy and should go away just because they have the honesty to say that improvements could be made.

For the record I am happy and content with life, Forums to me are just a pastime and not as the TFIP  Brigade appears, their raison d'être:.

    K LaughingWink

Gee, K, that's quite some spin you've put on things. If it makes you happy, so be it.

    +1

Well TF, when you asked the question in the forum heading, I bet you never expected such a lively discussion. --- Best for a long time !!!! .

We all adhere to the T&C's as that is what we signed up for, even although they have been changed by the Forum Manager.

Yes this forum is bland but that's what the T&C's demand.-- I don't have any issues with that.-- As I have said often, a good poster always posts within the rules of any Forum they are visiting.  There are other forums where Grown-Up discussions can be had. Sometimes, when people are busy and popping into any forum for a couple of minutes, bland is good.

I've never seen a forum yet which has reached total perfection,  I also see no harm in mentioning the fact.

Well, if by "livening up" you meant having threads with the title "belts or braces" and "stockings or tights" then you've certainly succeeded, Brian.

However, I suspect that wasn't exactly what you had in mind! Wink

No Moulesy, - just wanted to shake it up a bit!  And I really think we all managed that!

As I said I think its time to draw a line under it now and all take a bit of a breath.

TW I'm sorry if I wound you up a bit too much, but you do seem to love to have a go at me.  Anyway no real harm done and I think its woken everyone up a bit!

I never did say I was going off this time, merely that I thought it was time to leave this thread!  So lets do that before we go too far.

Well seeing as you lumped me in with TW back in the thread  and misrepresented me as saying the forum was perfect am I to assume that you believe I love to have a go at you as well?

That's not the case. All I was trying to do was explain that some of us don't actually see GC as the be all and end all of the forum.

However if your intention was just to 'shake it up a bit' then I'm sorry I contributed at all. Frown

TF, you haven't wound me up at all.

I don't 'have a go at you' as such but you keep having a go at the Champs who are only applying the T&Cs you signed up to abide by and you seem to need reminding of that fact quite regularly. What I object to, on a personal level, is your use of sarcasm in an effort to deride my views.

TW. I most certainly do not deride your views, indeed for the most part I have always respected them.  This time I think you will have to put it down to an element of frustration caused by the tedium of retirement.  The DCOS has always said that I get mischevious
    when bored!

That is no excuse, TF, and I'm rather surprised you uttered those words.

I, too, am retired but life is far from tedious.

By the way, you do realise that your words of mischievous intent actually describe Trolling, don't you?

TF, so many times you intimated you were leaving the thread but you keep coming back
Undecided Really must be riveting for you.

No need for sarcasm either, just accept that others have an opinion also and did you make your own rules up when serving as a Police Officer?

Good post, Dave. I'm rather concerned about a Police Officer turning a blind eye as well.

I'm not sure where he said turn a blind eye but I hope police officers do, especially at three in the morning when I'm doing 80mph on the motorway.

That's not in the least bit funny, Furball.

Sadly, I liked your post in error.

My humour is not to everyone's liking TW, however on this occasion I was being serious.
