Ikea pleated blinds £3
Ikea are selling 100% polyester pleated blinds for £3 each 35 inches x 75 inches (90cm x 190cm) they are called Schottis, no drilling required, great cheap alternative if you need to replace blinds in your caravan or motorhome, they come in white or dark
grey. In my opinion they don't look at all cheap I've put one up indoors where I couldn't get a drill to go through the thick wall and I'm more
then happy with it

Hi Outdoor Lady,
How are they fixed then?

There is a strip of sticky 'thingy' at the top that you peel off and stick on the frame they have also included sticky velcro if you need it for the bottom, I haven't needed to use that but I'm quite impressed with them

I'm even thinking of useing them in the conservatory, that will work out a lot cheaper that the quote I had of £3,000 last year !!

As a supplier and fitter of blinds I would be caution relying on anything 'sticky' in a conservatory. The heat that can build-up tends to release the glue. (I know from experience)

Thanks for the extra information Outdoor Lady and to you CBR Blackbird for your input. I would be worried about the heat reducing the effect of the sticky stuff as I've seen this happen with 'nets' in hotel rooms which have fallen down.

I did wonder that, do you think the velcro would work better ? You can get a really strong adhesive type now. Previous owner of MH stuck things up with it took me ages to get it all off with adhesive remover.

These could possibly be a great (and cheap) solution to preventing faded interiors

Write your comments here...Not advisable to put blinds up during storage as the blinds tend to lose their'shape' Much better to cut cardboard to fit each window individually. We did it last year after advice from out service mechanic and so far it has done
the job admirably0 -
But surely it doesn't really matter if they lose their shape they are only £3.00 each, probably cheaper than cardboard.

It may be a silly question but how do these kinds stay up or even half mast. My blinds need refreshing!
Write your comments here...Hi Pippah you stick them up and they have two clips that you can put on to keep them half mast or wherever you want them.
