Cheap WiFi / MyFi

When I'm away I need access to the internet for work and personal reasons.

Some years ago I purchased a "MiFi" from Amazon, it only cost me about £23.

You just need to insert a data card and off you go.

I look for one off deals e.g. 500mb or 30days use whichever occurs first.

I then saw a deal at Currys...12 months data sim (restricted to 500mb a month) £24.95.

I find this more than enough as long as you do not upload / download pictures.

This is by far cheaper than the fees charged by the CC.

Amazon have a reasonable data SIM. The price does go up and down.

It's with Three. You get 12GB of 4G data to be used within 12 months (date of first use), cost £28.99. The links

I also use 3 to provide my mobile data. £30 for a 12 Gb card valid for 12 months. I have always got a good signal.

If I can't get a good signal from 3 then we tether to our smartphones one of which is O2 and the other EE.

My MiFi from 3 gives me 15 Gb for about £25 per mth on a 2 yr contract. Signal is reasonably good, as we've used it all round the country during the last 12 mths. Don't use club sites often enough to sign upfor their contract.

I think in this day and age its about time wi fi on CC sites should be free. I have visited quite a  few other sites which have just as good facilities and are less expensive and have free wi fi. So come on CC and get up to date!!!!

It's been said before, Gray, along with the fact that it would push fees up. Nothing is free - somebody has to pay. As it is, those of us who don't wish to waste our money on the existing poor and unreliable wifi service don't have to pay for it.
