A bowl anyone!
Not sure if I'm in the right place for making caravanning cheaper but just thought I'd share something. We have a Swift, bobbing on a bit I admit, but it has one of those funny "D" shaped sinks that have a funny shaped bowl to fit. Our bowl has cracked,
they have a habit of that, this has been our third!! Thought maybe we'll get a new one, last one a few years ago was £20 plus, yes I know, must have been mad but one likes things to match so to speak. Looked online £76, thought no can't be right, contact
nearest Swift dealer came back with £88.86 plus postage, if I don't collect, to say I was bowled over was an understatement, needless to say I will not be collecting !!! Tried a few breakers yards, no bowls, so it's out with the Araldite, worked last time
and they can stick their bowls to !!!!

Up to now, we have always used a washing up stand and bowl in the awning, as an alternative to washing up in the 'van. It's looking a bit 'dog-eared' these days and are seriously wondering if we can manage without it. If we do, we will use a large bowl on the awning table (we always use a plastic table cloth anyway, to protect the table) - we're thinking of this as an alternative. Just an idea.
