Best one stop shop for accessories online
We are on our 1st weekend away in only our 2nd season and I've decided there are a few accessory purchases I'd like to make.
What online retailer have people found to be the best one stop shop for accessories? I know there is towsure, but when looking at a noseweight guage they were way off the pace price wise.

Absolutely Amazon - so far I've always been able to find everything I've searched for on their site and usually found something much better than I was thinking of! Occasionally the seller is in fact Towsure or one of the other bigger dealers but if not then
Amazon warranties take care of any worries I might have about buying from somewhere new to me.0 -
Take a look at place called "The Caravan Shop"

Amazon shocked me recently, I ordered & paid using my account, 22hrs later I had the item in my hand, they sure do good service.
With that kind of turn around it just isn't worth traipsing around looking for stuff0 -
Amazon is all very well if you know what you want and what it is called. I would guess many caravan accessories are bought on impulse when the buyer came across them in an on-line or real shop.

Well I've ordered from thecaravanshop, seemed quite well priced.

Rocks, I reckon you're losing the plot, matey !!
Just think of the extra pleasure you can get strolling round a "Real" store, looking at, and handling, all those bits an' bobs, finding something you don't recognise, do not know what it does, nor even how it does it. Then you are informed by that awfully young sales assistant exactly what it does, how it does it and why no serious C'vanner would ever be seen without at least one with access to a couple more and for only £ **:99 each! then as you head back to your motor, with that daft smirk on your face, clutching three of them, you load up, and head out into the traffic jam. Before an hour has passed and you've travelled at least half a mile, youve already worked out who you can unload two of 'em onto, poor mug, and for only 50% more than you paid for the three.
And you would willingly forgo this pleasure just to buy on line ?? Seriously ?? You need to see a Barber Mate, for some serious advice !!

There are some quite good caravan accessory dealers on Ebay and quite often doing better postage deals than Amazon
personally I got sick of the EBay traders giving me a delivery date & not hitting it even if I paid extra for the earlier date. Yes Amazon are a tad dearer but to date-more reliable too.

Sorry, Rocky, from the glow on your avatar you don't really need a Barber, mate, more like a French Polisher
muscles, you've been told many times. . . .Stop mixing your drinks, it's either whisky or brandy, not both. You never make sense when you mix em

Agreed, Amazon have started making a charge for packing or something that is added on just before you pay so e-Bay can work out cheaper and TBH I've never had a problem with delivery.

It's our local place, and does indeed have good prices.
The actual "shop" is an amazing place, really small and totally stuffed to the roof. They must either have a huge back shop, or a little warehouse somewhere else.

Not been my experiance , both are ok but often postage on Amazon can be an issue for smaller purchases
That's why you use EBay & I use Amazon

I often find with Amazon market place sellers it pays to check all available. Very often for small items with minimal postage, the cheaper sellers will charge £3.50. However, those that might be a £1 more expensive do not charge delivery, and therefore work
out beter value.0 -
Often buying through Amazon works out considerably cheaper than buying direct from the supplier. I bought a Numax leisure battery from Pure Drive Batteries through Amazon and the item cost was less, plus postage was included. The same battery direct would
have cost about £15 more.0 -
Amazon is O.K. but unless you have singed up for amazon prime, you needf to spend £20.00 or pay a delievry charge on top.
I buy most my bits from Ebay

The Caravan Shop is dangerously close to me - I work about 200 yards down the road from it. When I was doing up the caravan I bought in December, I was in so many times I was starting to get embarrased The
chap that works in it has been there for about 40 years, and the shop really is tiny - but it is a Tardis - he has a stockroom downstairs and if you pop in on a day he has a delivery, it is like an obstacle course. You can go in and ask for something, and miraculously John will ponder and say, "Aye, I think we've got those" and potter off to a remote shelf. On the few occassions he's not had what I'm looking for his standard reply is "Aye, it'lll be in next week" And
most times it is.I think the owners name is John, and he really is very knowledgable about all parts and accessories, past and present.
We also have Duncans Caravans and Camping close to where I live - very helpful too, but I much prefer going into a shop - although I do almost all my other shopping online.

I tend to favour
Leisureshop Direct especially for spares and the more obscure items.peedee

I would much rather buy in person but unfortunately you cannot get an accessory shop that sells everything. You would have to travel to three or four shops to get everything you want which then uses more fuel! Maybe someone in central scotland should open
a B & Q sized accessory shop with overnight pitches!0
