Write your comments here...So you are not using bio pods and Fabric coditioner then TTDA? Can't see me going back to blue again. Toilet never smelled so sweet As it does now

"the Bog" is a mystery to me Merve! Only time I decided to do the emptying I was an hour throwing up, so I am assigned other duties nowadays! OH has tried them but gone back to loo bloo!

I got the heavy duty pegs, collapsible bowl, loo roll and one of sat TV kits.
I had a really good tripod that wasn't getting used so I managed to modify the bracket on that so I don't need to mess around mounting it on the roof with the suction cup supplied every time I want to set it up. I sited the receiver in a cupboard behind
the TV mounting bracket so all the cables are hidden and got one of
these so no cables trailing through the window - I'm well chuffed0 -

SV - slightly off topic - but I want to use a tripod as well. Have been trying to find one that will accept the spigot on the Aldi aerial. Can you give me a clue as to how you modified the bracket. I have a few ideas but it would be helpful to know what you have done. Thanks
Richard

Despite "Skiphunter's" earlier post we decided to invest in the caravan steps. His post refers to last year & I am hoping that they are better now. - only time will tell! So far they are much better than our old two step ones, in that they are higher so
the upper step is nearer the entry level of the van.TF

Hi Richard - since it is a bit off topic, I started another thread
here with some pictures - hope it helps0 -
Just purchased the HD portable sat dish from Aldi and have an old tripod I no longer use what a great idea thanks silvervaper. Also bought toilet fluid to try out much cheaper than caravan accessory shops.

T'was my post, Merve. I do use the Biopods, but also swap with the blue, just for a change.

Write your comments here...sorry Nellie. I must learn to read posts better. I still have some blue to use up but keep putting it off in preference to the pods. So much easier to use unless you are on the satchet.

Sorry if I've missed something but can someone explain the pods thing? I really don't like the smell of the pink and blue chemicals - what is the pods and fabric conditioner method? Do the pods work in the waste tank and fabric conditioner in the flush or
have I picjked this up completely wrong?0 -

That's it SV. Spot on. There's an old posting all about it in this section. Look at Pg 6 mid way down.

Glad I could help. You must have been quick to read that whole post!! Just make sure you get the Bio tabs. Oh and other outlets are available, too.

I am not sure if we are allowed to comment anymore on this thread, as apparently advertising, which this thread certainly does, is against T & C. However, in the meantime:-
We managed to get some of the blue toilet cleaner £5 for 2L very good value. Unfortunately they were right out of pink. Hope they get some more in.

Da*n, I knew there was something I'd forgotten to get when we were in on Tuesday. Will just have to stick with the pods for the time being.

Got myself some green loo fluid from Aldi last week as some sites have septic tanks and dont like formaldyhide. Also got a well made microfibre fleece for 5.99 which is perfect for summer nights with a chill in the air.

I have usually been pleased with items purchased at Aldi. However, this week I bought some of the heavy duty black streak remover and was not pleased. It was ineffective and removed polish on my motorhome.
I have informed customer services (who responded by phone the following morning) and I will be taking the spray back to the store for a refund.

Likewise - I bought the 12/240v TV and used it last week on a site we have been to previously and experienced perfect reception. Unfortunately the Aldi TV was useless - kept dropping the signal and pixelating all the time. Was the same in a friend's van,
so it wasn't a fault with the caravan aerial etc. Aldi were very good about it when I took it back and gave me a full refund without hesitation.0 -
ALDI will have a compact plug-in electric towel rail, which looks quite stylish, and is just £19.99 - which I thought would be ideal for caravanning. To my mind there is nothing worse than damp towels. On rainy days when you can't dry them anywhere else,
this could go in the shower compartment and produce nice fluffy dry towels again.0 -
