Static Insurance

After renewing my tourer insurance the Caravan Club advised that they don't do static caravan insurance but they referred me to the telephone no. 01242 528844 which turned out to be Towergate.

I rang them and after going through all my details I was told I was talking to the wrong department and should be talking to their colleagues in their commercial dept. for some reason.  They offered to transfer me then found out that they are on a different
telephone system and cannot transfer.  They said that they would pass all my details to their colleagues who would call me back shortly.  No call came.

What a way to run a business !  Certainly seem not to want the trade !!  You wonder if a company like this could ever settle a claim.

    Towergate are a very large commercial company and I do wonder why the clubrefered you to them as I know of no connection to them. From dealing with them before I retired that they were very good as long as you reached the right office. They do however seem
    to deal with different things in different places and communication between them was not always what it should be and it was better to get the right number and ring yourself.

    I would not doubt the claims service provided you get the right office for the policy in the first place.

    Bill - give Towergate another chance! We have our static insured with them and so do our neighbours who have recently had a protracted and very lengthy problem involving a crack in their shower base. Towergate have been more than helpful to them and they have had absolutely no problem having their claim paid promptly and in full.
