Insurance Renewal - No Free Night Site Vouchers
Last couple of years when we renewed our caravan insurance we got a couple of free site night vouchers which gives a sort of discount. This year we did not receive any, has anyone else received any this year or has the CC stopped offering them as an incentive?

No we didn't get any site night vouchers when we renewed our CC caravan insurance this year either MichaelT.

Did you try phoning up and suggest that it might influence your decision to renew?
OTOH, If I believe everything I read on CT most Club sites are full to capacity most of the time, so offering a 'discount' in the form of 'free nights' would not be the most sensible decision

Same for us Wildwood. I thought it was strange that, as it hadn't been mentioned beforehand, it really couldn't be considered an incentive to renew. It is certainly something I'd take into account when getting quotes this year.

Hello Michael T,
my insurance was due last July and we get back fromone of our trips there is usually a new application to renew in the post, as none had arrived I telephone and asked about it. I was told it had been posted to me two weeks previous and they would put another
in the post that day,I am still waiting for it! I did contact them again as i thought maybe ther was two vouchers in the new quote, a my policy was due to expire that week i renewed over the phone, I made two calls in the following weeks to ask where is
my policy and was on each time told "i am just putting it in the post, this was last July and still not had one so I got my details on line to ensure I was insured.I do not consider this to be good service, but i do not see the point in complaining as you do
not get any where, so no I did not get the free vouchers.Bob

The site night voucher incentive offer for caravan insurance ran from June 2014 to May 2015. The voucher was encosed with the renewal documents.
I've been with CC insurance for past 25+ years and NEVER received anything
Perhaps time for a change

Typical, never had any vouchers and been with the club for a good few years, just got renewal notice and tomorrow I shall be asking what the score is, if they give to one they should give to all members, very dissapointed, its not the not receiving the voucher
but the principle we are all equal members or not as this seems to indicate0 -
Renewed my policy today and asked the question, I was told the voucher scheme ended May 2015 but the operator said she did not know why some people were offered a free night voucher and others were not, her only comment she was prepared to make was, that
the scheme caused them lots of problems. So it looks like there was a scheme that did not treat members on an equal footing.0 -
No that is not correct. The offer was available to all members renewing their caravan insurance. Information was enclosed with your renewal invite. This was a manual process so potentially it could have been missed from yours accidentally.
Correcting my earlier post the actual voucher was sent under separate cover once the policy had renewed. It seems that again your details were missing from this information which is both unlucky and unusual. I will contact you offline to discuss this further,0 -
Our policy renewal is in late July, in 2014 we were away in Norway, with caravan, at that time, but we have the renewal on DD (or something similar).
After renewal, the confirmation and documents were sent to us. Our daughter opens all mail while we are away. When we spoke to her at that time she told us the confirmation letter had arrived, and that a "Site Night Voucher" was enclosed, which we had not expected. The new documents were there too, but she had not looked at them.
On our return home a month later, my wife was looking through the mail and put the voucher aside to use later. Then she checked the documents and found there was a second voucher in there.
We now realise that this was presumably a mistake, but the vouchers were put to good use during our stay in Stonehaven in the October.

I just renewed mine now on line. Site voucher or not who cares, the important thing is that the insurance works.

I've been with the CC insurance of 11 years and never ever received a voucher for renewal. Can staff find out why please. I'm gutted I've never had any info on this with my renewal.
If it is like other insurances I have, it is because of your loyalty. It just does not count for anything. Same with supermarkets and loyalty cards. We use numerous supermarkets, no constant loyalty, and we get lots of money off vouchers. People we know
who use the same one rarely get any.0 -
I have also not had any vouchers...mind you when I do get them I give them away as we don't use the club sites as the pricing structure does not work for us..we have two sons who are disabled adults so we have to pay so much for 4 adults and van we have
to go on rallies or cls pity it's not per van per pitch...or a nominal amount for extra adults..it's a bit much to have to pay 10 pounds or more a night.....any thoughts on this...0 -
Why just caravan insurance?

Write your comments here...why give them away? You would at least get the pitch and get 2 adults free so only paying the extra £10 or whatever it is.

I MichaelT....I can see what you mean...the last time I got a voucher was 3 years ago when I bought a korando..even just the once I suppose I could have used it but living on the east coast adding the cost of travel to a club site and the high cost of club
sites it wasn't worth it for a one off...I can go to some rallies for a third of the price and meet some great people....I would like to go to club sites but the cost is to high...it's a shame really but there it is ..0
