You will need some immagination to decipher them. No mention of Hawes work or it being no facility site. Much Wenlock still shown as CC site despite it having been taken back by the owners, As we dont bother with the stampede we will leave it as late as
possible before looking and in any case will be comparing CC with Cls and commercials in the areas we want.0 -

Reckon on about 5% on average.......about 5 or 6 times the rate of inflation. Seems to be the norm these days for the CC and has been shown to be the case again this year.
...Never mind ,we still have the triple lock on our pensions, and winter fuel allowance will help offset rises, and any sensible person would shop arround for a better price

I have not checked the costs but the club did say 20% are still the same price as last year. This should balance out any larger rises on some other sites. Costs do not rise in line with the inflation rate, that is an average and some sites will have rises
out of line with others so the idea of picking on one or two sites simply does not work.0 -
The CC should have far lower than average inflation, due to their potential (but apparant inability) to benefit from bulk buying, central management and resource sharing.
In response to the comment about pensions, the increases at 5 - 6% will be more than double your pension increase. Either private pension or state pension.

....and as for sensible people shopping around.....
does this mean CC members arent sensible, or that if they did see sense, CC would be losing a large number of customers..?
we certainly shop around, a cc site one week, a commercial the next, a THS or a CL thrown in to the mix....'sensible', eh?

If they up the price by 50% you will still find that they will beating them off with sticks at rowntree and other sites.

..Yep ,try finding a hotel in York or Bristol city centres (nearly) when you can have known 5* accomodation for the price of the sites

Write your comments here...It's a win , win situation , the more people that go elsewhere increases the availability at the most popular sites.
Certainly in my case , price is a mere third place in choosing my CC booking , sites & dates are vastly the most important two parts. of my bookings .

Write your comments here...What a brilliant idea - A 50% increase increase at weekends and peak season on those few so called honeypot sites, would spread the demand over the rest of the network --- A win - win situation all round. . They could start the experiment with Rowntree park and Baltic wharf.
Cheers.................K

Wen you get to our age its not about income its about quality of life, and we are not wealthy, but spent the last few years of our working life getting ready to enjoy our retirement, as you need to while you can,and when we cannot,we will look back on the good times we have had,and all our children are right behind us,as in their words "you worked for it enjoy it"

Must be nice to have a big enough income not to have to worry about how much things cost!
Write your comments here...I retired early on June the 10th this year & I'm just loving it .
After working for 45 years , I'm certainly not going to scrimp on my leisure time , come booking day , I think we have 70 odd days to bookfor 2017

We get away about 3 weeks a year and a few weekends we can grab when e can. Price for us is also lower down on the list of booking priorities, I just like to have decent sites to stay on in the little lesuire time we have. We're not loaded either, I just
work hard enough for it!0 -

How insulting! Like we just pick a site on a whim and don't even look at the price or, more importantly what you get for that price.
we're not talking super expensive here, just usual club sites and prices. And it is not a case on not worrying its making an informed choice and if its what
you think is worth it then you pay.0 -

Hey, I didn't see anybody say that!

...I do not think it was meant as an insult by Kj ,it i think ?was a misunderstanding with a couple of posts earlier about not looking at price as a first consideration

Yes, it's true that some people will just pay whatever their favourite organisation wishes to charge, because they are blind to any of the CC's faults.
Still, when their comments comprise of nothing more than "+1" then I suppose that about sums up their ability to put forward a reasoned argument......

It's really others business, if someone wants to pay extra for what they want then power to them. It really is no one elses business. To sneer at someone's personal choice smacks of jealousy, if it's not that then it's just nastiness. Pay for what you want,
pay for what is YOUR choice, it's no one else's business.0 -
People simply smiling and paying up just encourages suppliers to be lazy and not to offer good value to their customers.
One could almost say that those with more money than sense are driving other people, who cannot afford the "just pay it whatever the costs" approach, away from their Club.

...That analsis of yours does not seem to have affected the ever rising (by the figures) of site nights being taken up across the cc network

Write your comments here...Now I do find that insulting , it seems that you certainly don't like members , whom actually use their choice to continue to use the CC .your post is reported

Except that, according to the CC's own figures, site night bookings are down year on year.
Their answer to a this is to keep increasing prices. Rather than improve the offering or come up with more imaginitive pricing.
