What is misleading about the following?
"East Fleet Farm Touring Park is a new addition to The Club’s list of Affiliated Sites for 2016. The site is located on the coast of the stunning Chesil Beach on the shores of the picturesque Fleet Lagoon. East Fleet Farm earned 5 Gold Pennants in the AA’s new award for touring parks and campsites and has held a David Bellamy Award for conservation for over 10 years.
This modern, spacious site is very much a ‘destination site’ with a unique location. The 22 acre site sits on 200 acres of working farmland and is just ten minutes drive from the scenic Weymouth, where you can visit Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle.
There are fantastic facilities including a number of shower suites with sink and WCs. Bar and festival food is on offer during peak season and there is a large camping and caravan shop on site for anything you might need during your stay. They stock a wide variety of accessories and spares as well as basic groceries and newspapers."It seems a very glowing endorsement of the site to me. I notice you have not yet added your own review?

Now from the top down:
The Fleet is not a lagoon.
Weymouth is nowhere near Lulworth or Corfe.
The bar is in fact a Pub.
I would agree with the fact Weymouth is nowhere near Lulworth or Corfe, but it is a lagoon according to Natural England and quite a few others.

Chesil Beach is one of the three major shingle structures in Britain and is of international importance for coastal geomorphology.
Along about half its length it encloses the Fleet, the largest tidal lagoon in Britain. This, together with the Beach and associated habitats, incorporates a site that is of international importance to wildlife. The fossil-rich and stratigraphically
important sequence of Jurassic strata exposed along the landward side of the Fleet adds further value to the site.

It does sound like a good site, it would be the hefty charge for dogs that would put me off, £2.50 in peak season!

Looking at the pictures, I'm surprised folk aren't complaining about rows of caravans, seemingly all pitched identically etc!
It's certainly in a nice area, and the 11am arrival time is a bonus, but I'm afraid £30 a night in June for us and the dogs would have me looking for a CL nearby; there are plenty to choose froml

Prices seemed to be the same in September as in July - too high for me and I didn't notice the dog charge either
However I just might treat myself one day! I lived in Dorset for some years and never ventured a proper visit to Chesil and surrounding beauty bits. Its a pity how we often miss beauty on our own doorstep.

I think you may need to chill a little.
It is perfectly obvious to me what they mean in relation to visiting Lulworth Cove and Corfe castle.
Does the pub have a bar?

It may be obvious to some but that statement about Weymouth and Lulworth could be misleading to a stranger in the county. I prefer descriptions to be accurate even on holiday I don't want to find myself doing extra miles because someone can't get the facts

It does look a very nice site and certainly one we would consider. Stopped at Wood Farm last time we were in that area. It is a little more expensive than say The CC site Haycraft, for us 2 adults and an awning pitch, £3.60 a night more now and £4.60 at
peak. Although off peak there are offers. What I don't understand is that on the CC sites page it says they are members rates, but they seem the same as those on their general web site.0 -

East Fleet is in a good spot, between Abbotsbury (subtropical gardens and swannery) and Weymouth with it's harbour and safe sandy beach. It's handy for Dorchester and Thomas Hardy country also Portland Bill and the coastal path. The next town to the west is Bridport so there's plenty to see in the area!

1) We pride ourselves on offering a unique location on the shores of the Fleet Lagoon, overlooking Chesil Beach and the Sea.
2) It just mentions that it is ten minutes from Weymouth, which seems to be correct, and from there you can visit Lulworth or Corfe with no indication of how near.
3)The Old Barn family bar opens at Easter for the season
So it seems the Club have taken the information, certainly for points 1 and 2 directly from the site's own website so if there is a blame (which I don't think there is) surely that should be at the door of the site not the Club?
As for "not doing reviews" why not for heavens sake when you would have an opportunity to put over your point of view?
You may think I am nit picking but if people are going to have a pop at the Club surely they need to get their facts right in the first place?

I agree BB, the places that the CC suggest as possible excursions from a site , never cease to amaze me. When we stopped at Haycraft for a week, a few miles from Corfe, we did venture to Lulworth but not as far as Weymouth. We were able to find plenty locally for a week, even two weeks. However, we all have different priorities and have spoken to folk on site who are happy to spend several hours a day driving to a location. Not for me and we have a car. If we had a MH I would be even less likely to do it.

Write your comments here...Why should I have to check out facts - they should be accurate enough for me to trust them? And checking stuff out while on the move isn't always the easiest thing to do although I am computer literate.
