HI,

I was wondering if the road heading into Margowan site at Killin is alright for access, someone was telling me about a narrow humpback bridge in the area and wanted to avoid it,but he might be thinking of somewhere else.Any advice would be good as we are
heading there on Monday.

Thanks

The roads are perfectly good with no problems whatsoever.

There is a bridge by Dochart Falls but it's not that narrow and I don't recall it being humpbacked. It's fine.

You need to be aware of pedestrians vewing the falls from the bridge, they will not be concentrating on traffic as they view/ take photos etc.

Also the bride is narrow, if there are lorries or buses crossing there will not be room for you as well. Slow down on approach to check if clear. As there are bends at either end. Just need a bit of care, you will be fine.

Not if the reality TV shows I've seen are anything to go by.

The bridge is not really a problem as long as you do as redkite says and use caution. It is certainly preferable to comming at the site from the other direction along Loch Tay. This is a not ever so wide twin track A road, which would be OK if the tour coaches comming the other way slowed down a bit.

We've visited this site many times and were there just last weekend. To add to redkite2's comments, I don't think the the bridge is wide enough for any other vehicle and a caravan. But it is very easy to use as you can see to the other side, from both ends,
before starting across. It's not humpbacked.

The roads are perfectly fine coming from Lochearnhead or Crianlarich, but would agree with SteveL about the road from Kenmore. Still doable but with caution.

    Enjoy!
