There are a number of older discussion advising against towing on the A82. I understand work has been carried out since then, is it still no go for a long van? We're in Lomond at the moment planning next move.

Also looking for a good    sheltered site with hard standing and laundry where we can stay for a week and tour the area if anyone has e

It is the Northern end that is the problem. The road is twisting and narrow and you will have a ztone wall on your left. You then get timber lorries and others coming the other way if you are unlucky and to me is best avoided if you can.

I have done it once and that was enough for me and we did not have a long van at the time.

Depends where you are coming from but to me the motorway out to Stirling and then through Callendar is a far better route and from Glasgow should be quicker.
