Pembrey water logged

Just had the Warden from the Pembrey site call me to cancel our booking for next week.  Apparently the site is flooded/ water logged.  It takes a lot to flood that site as it practically built on a sand dune.

The kids are gutted as they were looking forward to getting out and about on their bikes.

Good to see that protecting the site is a primary concern though.

Arrived at Pembrey this afternoon, lucky to get one of only three available hard standings available. Large part of site to the left of entrance back to the country park fence completely under water, most are grass pitches, the remaining grass pitches are
very soft and are cutting up easily. As I type this it is belting down with hail and rain. Forecast is much better for tomorrow and rest of the week. We are here until Sunday, hopefully.

We use the Park every week throughout the yea, that part of the site always foods, last year there were contractors on site for about a month, I thought that's what they were doing, sorting out the drainage

What a shame for the kids, are there any other sites nearby?

There is an alternative and that is in the Country Park itself managed by the local Council, also a couple of CL's and Gowerton Club Site at the gateway to Gower Peninsular
