As a regular vistor to, and someone who has provided constructive critisism of Whitewater Park, I would love to see some images of the current upgrade. My wife and I are excited about the upgrade and look forward to visiting again. Just a few snaps would be great and I am sure other, members would be interested.

    Hi

Let me see what I can do. I am not sure there is much to see just yet in terms of change as it's early days but will ask the question

Glad you are excited about the changes. We are too!

We have used the site regularly to visit family in the area and apart from feeling it needed a wider entrance and more hard standings were happy with it. The work seems to be schedulked for a very long period which we found surprising.

Just been reading reviews on another web site that says bikes have been stolen from this site.  Will there be secure bike storage as part of the refurbishment or are these reviews about bikes just nonsense.

Bikes were stolen when we were there - not ours - I think they are addressing this with additional CCTV

Padlocked to the leg of the caravan with a very secure chain. Mostly they seem to go AWOL at night so I think that although the dogs rarely bark at all on site if someone was trying to cut the chain or raise the leg of the caravan a few feet from them they
    would let us know.

There was a sign on the office warning of bike thefts when we were there last year although as we did not bring any we took it no further. It is in an urban area so the theft risk is increased because of this although we have been several times without problem.

Easy access to asda estate escape routes and issues at times with groups of 'yoofs'  on the car park opposite doesnt help

Yes bikes were stolen from the site last year and the compound was broken in to earlier this year.  It has great escape routes for wannabe thieves so unfortunately more CCTV and increased night time security would be the only option to stop this.  If you
think the entrance and exit was bad when the site was open you should see if while it's being refurbished.  Getting in and out of storage has been a nightmare.  Hopefully this will all be rectified once it's complete

We used to use it regularly - not used it for a while but a wider entrance?? I happily towed a big twin axle there and also took the RV there with no problem.  Just goes to show we all have different priorities.  Personally I would have scrapped the games
room as I never saw anyone in it during the numerous times we visited.  More showers and a drying room would have been better use of the space.

Definitely more hardstandings though - a site of that size with only about 15 (excluding serviced) is just silly.

Agreed it was very short of hardstandings and more would certainly help.
