Bladon Chains - Pricing error

Peak season prices showing from 3th March through to 3rd April.

Other sites have a low price band from 4th-17th March before the Easter price hike.

Called wardens and Club site bookings but all we've got is 'computer says that right'.

Brick wall and head making contact...

Won't be going then.  GRRRRR.

Well, I knew that peak season had expanded somewhat this year, but that's ridiculous if that's correct.  Is there possibly a 2 missing in front of the 3 in March?  I've looked at some sites (although not CC sites) which only put their prices up on the 23rd
    (or 24th) of March.

I've just tried a mock booking for the first weekend it's open, well before Easter, and, yes, it does appear to be the peak season price. Very odd, don't think any other sites are like this. Are there special events on at Blenheim in March? Maybe one of
the staff CTers could pick this up and comment.

I find that it's strange that this has not been noticed before now. Perhaps most of those that book for there don't bother how much it costs.

Strange we are still awaiting any response at all from the Club on this one...

Expected someone from the Club to read and comment on this thread....No chance, it seems.

Similarly we have heard nothing from them by 'phone since Friday.  Ho hummm...

Not sure if it's already been done but I've brought it to the attention of staff at HQ.

Please accept our apologies for this error. The prices should in fact be as follows:

    4 Mar – 17 Mar: Pitch £6.60, Adult £6.30, Child £1.50

The price in the system has now been changed and will be as per the above from this point onwards.

We apologise for any confusion caused by this.

Thanks for clearing that up Ro. I assumed there must have been an error. Have people who already booked paid the higher price though, and will they be refunded if they have?

Thanks for that...  Have booked now (yesterday PM actually).

The pricing and dates showing on the Bladon details webpage is still confusingly muddled though!  I've seen various incorrect dates thrown up and on last check (now) was still at high rate from today and through
    Easter...

Only when you actually do a booking do you get the correct price!  That's maybe OK but may be losing some bookings?

Some dodgy web coding or use of two databases when there should only be one?

Thanks for the replies and further feedback. We are in the process of contacting people that have been affected by the error and we’re just waiting for the website to update the prices on the site details page although as you mention Rodders53, the price
in the system is now correct. Smile

You learn to do a lot of checking with CC, either using handbook or website. CL we fancied was showing a strange location on website, middle of nowhere. When we checked via OS map it was a few miles away!

No, I am not going to bother giving details to Club, they employ someone to do this, and the CL owner should check it as well! There are just so many like this. Small instances, but frustrating.
