Although the peak summer period is longer at many sites in Scotland, at least those living north of the boarder have the option of going south, for the early part of July. We are in Scotland for spring bank at the end of May, which I don"t think is a holiday in Scotland and we are also being charged peak rate, as though we were still in England.

So thats another holiday that Scots are being ripped off then Yell  yes we can south at the begining of July but if the English don't get a price
rise until their schools break up why are the Scots still being charged premium rates once their schools have gone back, all very underhand and money grabing by the club.

I suppose the main intention is to clobber the English who holiday north of the boarder at the back end of August, when our schools are on holiday. But as you say it does extend your peak season beyond the Scott's school holidays. So somewhat annoying if you are not tied to them.

Just noticed this thread is about Beechwood Site oops
