Because with Rowntree being out of action they are expecting it to be full - upping the price accordingly

Either, good business practice or greed, depending on your view

We have just booked a non CC site in N.Yorks for last week in June and first week of July. Great facilities - 2 wet rooms as well as normal facilities, kichen area with microwave and fridge freezer, fully serviced pitch. Caravan and awning £26.50 per night.Smile

SurprisedThat's scandalous, taking advantage of other's misfortunes. Even Rowantree, when it's open, only charges £19:60 from 4th Jan
to 17th Mar. Low season at Beechwood is normally only £19:80.

I agree Nellie, absolutely scandalous to take advantage in that way. I hope people boycott it at that price.

I think/ hope it is a mistake. Have emailed to get a proper answer. If it is correct then ..................Sad But booking is playing up for me, so cannot check.

Edit: not of course that I would be booking it, I can get three nights elsewhere for that price!Wink

If that is for two adults it is very expensive. Even Baltic Wharf is only £19.80 until the 17th March.

Hi, we left Beechwood earlier this week and our last night was only £17.50 (2 people and a caravan) which is what the club booking details would charge me when I logged on to book seven nights for later in the month, so unsure how £27.50 is quoted.

Just try and book a pitch now. I did and the price came up at £27:50 pn for 2 adults.

I'm not sure why we are getting all these odd prices unless something is amiss with the system. I have just tried a few nights in Jan and Feb on Easybook and it came up as £17.90 a night for two adults.

Very odd. I'm wondering if they are in the process of changing prices, because when I first checked it only showed prices from March, when it should have opened.

Hi, I think the £27.50 a night may be for none Caravan Club member charges, I tried again to put my own mind at rest and came up at £17.90 for 2 members, the park and ride is only a few mins away and bus every 10 mins so does not take long to get into York
and enjoy yourselves as we did, wardens very friendly just to make your holday more enjoyable.

I am sure that there is something wrong with the information input. If I get a response to my email (at least this month) I will come back to this thread. HD, your price could be correct for that time in year, I am trying to find out about period now, which
is it staying open because of damage at Rowntree Park. Happy

We have just left Beechwood yesterday and it was only just over £35 for the two nights.

The wardens are very nice though they are changing at the weekend, the dog field is very very wet so the wardens are letting you exercise the dogs on site obviously on leads as you can't walk off the site for the horse stud.Plus you can have your pick of any pitch regardless of peg colour as the site is very quiet.

Please watch for Rowena's update - as per this statement in the How to Use Club Together - Help and Feedback Section.

"Hi takethedogalong, thanks for alerting me of this. I checked this morning and the prices for Beechwood Grange are incorrect for this time of year. We are looking to get this fixed ASAP. I will also post the update in the discussion and apologise
I have not responded sooner. I have been so busy this week that I hadn't spotted this discussion. I really appreciate you flagging this to me via email so I could alert and raise a request for this to be fixed this morning."

    Hi everyone,

I'm really sorry for the confusion. The price is actually displaying incorrectly and should be:

    4 Jan – 17 Mar: Adults £5.70; Child £0.01; Pitch £6.50

    18 Mar – 3 Apr: Adults £8.50; Child £3.00; Pitch £10.50

We have raised the issue this morning and requested this is fixed. I hope to have an update on when this will be dispalying correctly on the site page ASAP. I apologise for the confusion and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

£27.50 per night is still expensive for the Easter period I would say.  That is a huge difference!
    Surprised

We have been away previously on CC sites over a few BH periods but never paid anything like that.
