We're thinking about doing the NC500 in the motorhome in August/September next year. I'd be interested to hear from anyone that's done it. Things like road conditions and types, campsites/stopovers on route, best sections and any midge problems!

Excellent idea. If you dont fancy the pass up to Applecross, try the northern route. Its easier with superb costal views. Excellent fishing but check where the stalking is taking place at that time.Dont worry about camp sites.plenty of wild places. Dont
miss out Melon Ugridle on the Laide peninsular and the shore camp site. Midges not a big roblem, just take some repellant. Could go into great detail, but the best advise I can give is take plenty of time. You may find yourself only doing 20 miles in day.
