Registering a UK caravan for foreign use

Lots of endless where's, why's and wherefores on this topic, but can those of you who have registered tell me how you managed to achieve it?

I have been on the relevant Gov.uk site but keep hitting a wall when asked for the name of the trailer manufacturer. Not a single UK caravan manufacturer is listed and I can't get beyond this. Any attempt to input, say, SWIFT Group etc just kicks back to the previous section.

Help, please!

I believe you need to enter the word Caravan as brands are not recognised.

I seem to recall entering Other, and then later I had the chance to input make.

Many thanks both, I am sorted now. Yesterday the system was knocking me back when I selected "manufacturer not listed" but today it moved me on to another screen where I was able to enter 'Swift Group'. Temporary software glitch?

Having registered with no problems, it seems that getting the plate made up is also not straightforward. Local companies who are not aware of this new rule seem unwilling to make up a white plate for the rear of the caravan, despite showing the advice from the DVLA. We have successfully solved this by purchasing from GT Towing but whilst away last week we saw a caravan with a yellow plate which was also placed in the incorrect position.
