We don’t book our sites in France using the club, but I’m surprise they haven’t been released yet. Although for the one I checked that was the case, even though the description said it was open in April. Probably best to give the club a ring after the bank holiday and ask.

Sites in France tend to have a relatively short season compared to the UK. Certainly at that time of year they are unlikely to be anywhere near full and like Steve we tended not to book. The exception to that would be if you wanted a southern beachside campsite in the peak seasoon. Might be worth investing in the ACSI book as it provides useful discounts out of the main season.

Some sites are indeed closed in April. For example the five star star site at Benodet - Camping le Letty - is only open from 20 June to 31 August.

We don't book our sites in France. Never have any problems getting on site.
