Winter sites in France

We are traveling from Caen down to Spain in March 26 and would like to find a couple of sites on the way - around 100 miles from Caen - and so on til we get to Valencia. As this is our first winter run we don't want to use Aires, but only quality sites eg with some security. Grateful for any suggestions. Thanks

Your first site could well be at Rennes - Camping les Gayeulles - about 120 miles from Caen ferryport.

or Camping Bounty Lakes just south of Le Mans if you are going that way. Same distance from Caen ferryport.

After the first 100 miles how far each day are you hoping /willing to drive. Are you towing or in a Motorhome?

Bit difficult to give general advice when people don't know the parameters outside of the first stop.

Not exactly the same problem, but my method may prove of use. When looking for a site that does ACSI prices from August 24th I noticed a tick box that says "Camping Card ACSI is valid through my stay".

So if you put your dates in for your chosen "stop off area", it should come with sites open.
