Hi, our fridge in our lunar quasar fb 2007 is jumping between sources and not selecting any of them. It has a spanner on the display too. Cannot select manually.

Any suggestions would be great.
thanks

I have a Thetford fridge but a 2008 model which i suspect is the same model or similar to yours, with the spanner there should be an error code which could be code 14, I had a similar problem, i believe error code 14 indicates that the control panel is not communicating with the printed circuit board (PCB) which i am afraid is not good news.

By continually selecting the 240v supply i managed to get it to lock on, now i just switch the fridge off when not in use and then back on when i need it and it seems to be ok, i dont ever try to switch to gas or battery and i am happy just to use the 240v option. I was told the fridge is now obsolete and little chance of sourcing a new PCB which leaves you with the alternative of buying a new fridge which is mega bucks. Check youtube there are quite a few videos showing how to fix various problem with this fridge, but you need to be a bit technical if you need to fit a new PCB.

would be interested to know if you fixed the problem

Thank you. I will try and get a new PCB, if possible. Unfortunately the source buttons won’t allow me to select a source, it continually jumps between each one without stopping on any. Thanks for the advice, I will let you know, if I can fix it.

It is highly unlikely you will obtain a new PCB. There was a thread about this some time ago and in it there was mention of where you can get them repaired. I also have a faulty PCB, mine won''t allow the fridge to run from the engine. I have lived without this feature for over 2 years. If I can find the old thread I will post further.

    Thank you for the link?
I’ll do some more research, but may have to bite bullet and buy new fridge. Fingers cross I won’t!

Try A&R Electronic Developments, Cannock they say they do repairs to a list of N type fridge circuit boards
