Winter holiday Site

We have had a caravan for many years. Now with a motorhome we want to over winter in the Allicante/Valencia area. We want a quiet site, near beaches which are dog friendly. With a motorhome we would have to take it everywhere with potential parking problems as we have not brought a towcar. Any advice on a suitable site and the 'no car' problem of a motorhome - if it is a problem! Many Thanks.

@BriVal I was there beginning of April, most but not all of the overwintering outfits had left. I must have had a senior moment when I posted, it is no longer called Marjal but >Alannia Guardamar< It is just south of Alicante and you can book on line, Pitches are fully serviced, including access to UK TV, a bonus when overwintering. There are many other sites, but personally I would keep south of Valencia for a winter stay. Another site you might like to consider is >Camping Cap Blanch< in Altea which is just north of Benedorm. Its right on the beach front. We no longer have a dog and have not over wintered in Spain for the last few years but if my memory serves me correctly beaches are open to dogs in the winter months.

Rent a small car for a few weeks to get around. Surely.

Thank You, Yes that's the most obvious as well as Taxis etc. We've already planned that but just hought there might be something equally obvious we might have overlooked.

It's really the campsite suggestions based on personal experience that would be a bigger help.

    Thanks for your help though

Marjal Guardamar is within walking distance of both beaches and shops. Bikes would make the journeys a doddle. I saw dogs on the beach there this year.

Thank you very much. I'll look up details on line. Did you stay there in the winter or summer?

There are so many sites but it's always better with a recommendation.

    Thanks again.
