Looks like a Hollyhock to me as well. Hollyhocks do have different leaves, some of mine are round (exactly like your photo) I also have some with more “cut” leaves……

Different leaf shapes. Some of my round Hollyhock leaves are around 10 inch in diameter! Not in flower yet, but Mum’s are, from my seed, and they are around 10 feet tall!

It looks to have some unopened flower pods at the top?

Is it growing straight up, or have you got it staked? My pumpkin leaves looks very similar, but growing along the ground with flowers all along the stalk rather than at the tip. Hope it flowers, will be interesting😁

Then I think it is a hollyhock. It'll flower soon and confirm one way or the way. If you don't like it, you can pull it up before the seeds develop. I love mine, nice against a fence or wall, especially if you have a variety of colours.

I love Hollyhocks. I collect seeds from wherever I can, different colours, and then sow at home, they are just so easy to grow. You have to bear in mind that they won’t flower in year one (biennials), but then are fabulous after that, although they don’t last forever, as they don’t like a soggy bottom🤭 so will die if it’s rained a lot. I have some almost black ones, they are treasured as the original seeds came from a lovely farm campsite we used for many years down in Fowey, Cornwall. I lost my final black plant last year, but had collected some seeds, and this year the next generation is coming along nicely in my greenhouse.

Hollyhocks, they went in late, it’s our new border but growing nicely and have flower heads on beneath all the leaves. The big leaf top left is a Crambe, different plant. HH leaves are around 8 inches in diameter.

Pale lemon coloured Hollyhock (seeds from Clumber Park walled garden🤭) Totally different shaped leaves.

Bright pink Hollyhock, not as tall as in a more shaded area. (Seeds from a shop garden in Avebury, I did ask if it was ok😉)

I have lots of different coloured HH seeds, stored and in a seed container, from lots of different gardens we have visited on our travels. I grow some every year, give away to friends and neighbours. All that’s left of this years sowings, along with some Lupins. The two big leaved plants at the back are my black HH’s.

Definitely a Hollyhock. It might only have been small last year, I over Winter my HH’s planted from seed in greenhouse, in small pots. It’s a lovely double one, I like white ones. You can grow more now from the seeds you will get, they flower bottom to top, so seed pods are lower ones. How tall is @hostahousey ?
