Hi all has anybody travelled this route from Lindau to Iseo via Saint Moritz looking on google maps it looks okay but a bit tight in places, we are very experienced motorhomers and travelled all over Europe but just curious about this route.

Cheers

    Hi ET

Thanks for the prompt reply… very helpful whilst researching this part of our route I dropped the google man on various parts of the road and at some points there were images of HGV's so I guess if the can make it so can we, I still can't make my mind up to go that route or the well used Gotthard route decisions decisions..

    Cheers

We have been once to St Moritz but not from either your starting or finishing points so I can’t offer much help.

I guess you will reach St Moritz over the Julier Pass and go on from there over the Bernina Pass. We parked the caravan in the valley and explored both those passes driving solo. Obviously they are mountain roads, with some steep sections and lots of twists and turns with hairpin bends. Both those two passes go up to about 7500 feet, but they are well engineered roads as you would expect in Switzerland and I don’t think they will cause you problems. Full sized buses doing coach tours use those roads after all.

See what you think to St Moritz town. We found the urban area unattractive and disappointing, but the lakes and mountains all around are stunning. I hope it all goes well for you.
