Question regarding motorhome weights in Europe.
Hi everyone, as those of you who have travelled in Europe will be aware, the weight of your motorhome is significant with respect to tolls, speed limits, requirement (or not) for Angle Morts stickers, Swiss vignettes etc. and the significant weight is always whether you are over or under 3.5 tons. Our smallish (5.7m) AutoSleeper motorhome chassis plate states GVM = 3500 (and V5 document shows "Revenue Weight of 3500kg Gross"). Bearing in mind that 3500kg = 3.4 tons (i.e. less than the significant 3.5 tons) am I safe in assuming that we fall into the "under 3.5 tons" bracket, or am I over simplifying this? 🤔

I am fairly certain on the Continent 1000Kgms is considered to be 1 ton so there is no need to change your weight to imperial units. The law is 3.5 tons or less so you are quite safe in assuming those requirement for Angles Mort stickers etc will not apply to you.
