Using camc poi for directions to overseas sites.

Hi

Of to France for our first trip overseas since Covid. I have bought a new Garmin camper 795 and want to upload the POI for navigation both at home and overseas. If the instructions in the club book states‘ ‘don’t follow sat nav’ does that still apply to the camc POI’s?

    Yes, because it is the Sat Nav software that determines the route to the POI which may not be that recommended. Best to check on the Sat Nav route compared with a map or directions given and alter if necessary by adding waypoints.

    Most Sat Navs allow you to view the destination and you can usually determine from that whether you need to make changes to your final route to the site. It might depend how the POI the Club use is is decided, is it provided by the site or does someone at HQ pin point it on an electronic map?
