    Waze as a Satnav. It receives data from Google, but has the advantage of very regular updates on traffic problems. I believe it has started to integrate this information with Googles Satnav app. As an example we have to do a weekly 50 mile journey through Devon to south of Newton Abbot where gas mains work was ongoing. It was keeping up to date with the works and altering our route not just on a weekly basis but between even between our am out and pm return trips.

    For weather Ventusky is very good, whether in the UK or when on our summer jaunt into France.

    Snap. I also use FillLPG plus Co_Pilot which I also load with site POIs. I run these on a tablet but as a planning tool I use Google Maps on my PC.
