Apparently Honda and Nissan are in talks about a possible merger, it might even include Mitsubishi's as Nissan is a large shareholder. It could also be complicated by the fact that Renault also have a shareholding in Nissan. In some quarters there is a feeling that Japanese manufacturers have not been quick enough to embrace EV's and the Chinese are stealing a march on them.
