We were thinking of heading near barcelona in 2025 as part of our summer europe trip. Anybody stayed in that area and could recommend a site ? something not too rowdy, nr the beach if poss but not essential, easy access to barcelona by bus or train would be essential. We are two adults + two teens, 8ft wide twin axle coachman van 7.9m long!

The Club is selling pitches at Vilanova Park - the site has shuttle buses to beach and to Barcelona city. I don’t know the site, and it might fail your non-rowdy test, but it might be worth looking at the website.

that's looks great, similar to the site we stay at in France - I only looked north of Barcelona in my earlier search, but that might me worth the extra drive !!

Having stayed there a couple of times - Vilanova Park is a large site with many entertainment options, a good on site supermarket and many many static holiday caravans available to rent through the various holiday companies (Dutch German and particularly French).  It appears particularly popular with French nationals due to its proximity to the border.  I am not sure it passes your non-rowdy test.  Hope this helps

We have stayed at Les Estrellas three times. It is an ACSI site so you can get a discount out of season. It is south east of the city, past the airport. The road access is very good and you will have no problems whatsoever with the size of your van.

There is a bus stop a short walk away that will take you into the centre of the city - Placa Catalonia. (Please note, the bus driver will not take notes greater than 10 euros.) Once in the city you can buy tickets for the underground and the buses.

The pitches are not a bad size but some are better than others. I suppose it depends on whether the guy in reception likes you or not. There are some pitches right next to the beach but they are a bit expensive.

On our visits, all of the staff spoke excellent English, even the toilet cleaning lady! The staff in the cafe/bar were extremely friendly and helped me learn some Spanish. There is a shop on-site which sells a lot of stuff, including fresh bread.

There is a beach right next to the site with a guy renting surf boards.

I think the site would suit you perfectly. I probably should add that I have absolutely no connection with the site other than being a satisfied customer. We would probably go back again but there are too many other places that I haven't yet visited.

    Hope that helps.
