It could also be that some folk haven't had the offer if they have opted not to receive emails???

I am opted in but have not received the offer.

It'll be a last minute booking for us.

Make sure you book by 13th.October David.

For the query further upthread about which night is refunded please note the offer specifically refers to the first night as being refunded, not necessarily the cheapest.

You could cancel and re book. The free night should make this worthwhile, as far more than the deposit.

Jill did say that she was going away this weekend so wouldn't qualify under the T&Cs. as the first night starts in September.

No, I was stating Jill's first night would be this coming weekend so either 27th, 28th or 29th.September so cancelling and rebooking wouldn't qualify for a free night.

Sorry, I took your post to mean that the first night of the offer starts in September, and didn't cotton on that you were posting about Jilly's first night.

    Yes, I thought that.

But when I looked at the current prices for the site they had increased so much from when I'd originally booked, that it wiped out the free night saving.

    Dynamic pricing eh?

Haven't gone to check  but I think the boxes are unticked on mine, from what I remember.  I'm out and about at the moment, but will try and remember to check later...

More offers have been sent out……

    £5 off a grass pitch.

10% per night off, but this one does come with various T&Cs.

Also if I’m reading it right, because you have to give 21 days notice, it applies to a 11 day window right at the end of October, when the pitches are likely to be at there soggiest with a high chance of being cancelled. That will go down well with the kids if you’ve booked it for half term.

It's a risky business using grass after late September. I have already seen motorhomes stuck trying to get off grass.

    Still no free night offer.

Since the Club introduced the new booking/deposit rules, the weather has not been exactly wonderful for much of the time, which I would think has put off a number of people booking too far in advance of travel so it is little wonder that there are offers.

I see it as the converse, £5 is not a lot to lose. it was there to encourage booking regardless of weather.

Doesn't look like I am going to get a free offer!

Next door neighbour who also uses club sites quite a bit has got one too, last week.

If it is targeted at those who have used club sites this summer then personally I think that's a good idea and totally right.

I was just saying to the OH today, how poor the weather has been this year.   It just feels like it's been raining solid with just the odd dry day!  Today has been horrible again ...

I can't see that being the case, as we have got the offer and we have been on only two CC site this year, although we did cancel another, losing our deposit, but we used the offer we received at the beginning of the year. I will now book another club site on the way home from our current trip to make use of the offer.

We have only used one Club site this year in March before we decided to sell the motorhome and I have been sent the offer but can't use itcry I don't know if it is coincidental but on our only stay we did use the previous free night offer so is that the key to who gets them, probably not but thought I would mention it.

We got the email last week, but have only used 1 club site this year, in March, which was also to take advantage of the free night; so clearly it's not the case that it's only targeted at members who have used club sites this summer.

Well I would say not entirely clearly as a few members haven't received the offer? It was posted somewhere they were being sent in batches (but that doesn't make sense to me) so we'll have to wait and see.

As you say you have used a club site so perhaps that is the bar - just one?

But you've used two club sites and hence the offer?

As posted perhaps using just one counts.

There has to be a reason for others not getting it? Have PD and K used club a site this year?

CS, I was responding to the 2nd paragraph in your earlier post, which is:

"If it is targeted at those who have used club sites this summer then personally I think that's a good idea and totally right."

We used 1 club site in March, and none since, therefore to me it's clear it isn't targeted at those who have used club sites in summer.

Personally, I'd have thought every member would, and should, get the offer, regardless of whether they've used club sites or not.
