I’m shocked that no one has yet posted about the free night given to members. It’s what you’ve been wanting by way of recognition so get in there and enjoy!

Too late a gesture for us. We didn’t renew our Membership this year. Number of reasons, but we haven’t used a Club Site or CL since June.

Probably an effective way of getting bums on seats so to speak. I think a free night is likely to get more people to book a few days on a Club site than discounts. Our last stay at a Club site in our motorhome, before it was sold,  was back in March taking advantage of the previous free night offer at Ferry Meadows and the site seemed pretty full so it seems to work as a promotion tool. Two free nights in a year, so that is basically your membership free!

I've already booked a trip out for this coming weekend but, I note, that this voucher cannot be used for existing bookings so it's of no use to me at the moment.

Where does it say about a free night?

It’s for stays from 1 Oct to 19 Dec, Jill, so you’ve plenty of time to use it on a new booking👍.

After folk moaned about the minimum nights stay on the last offer, I think this is what people want.

We used the Spring free night at Bolton Abbey, and had another two nights as well. Worked out perfect for us as we had a steam train ride booked. As you say, site was nearly full, which was somewhat astonishing as it was a wet week back in March, site had just re opened after Winter. Staff and other visitors all mentioned free night, which made a longer stay much cheaper.

You should have received an email from Club, with all details, and your personalised code. Make sure you are opted in to receive email messages, and also check your Spam folder. There’s a chance not everyone will have got it yet, but I suspect every Member will have had this. It will go to Lead Member if there are two of you.

Alas, I have other things on my mind at the moment and caravanning is having to take a back seat, possibly permanently.

I was waiting for someone else to start it off, TW.....

Not sure who has had this offer.  Looking at FB and othe social media, some folk haven't had the email.

I don't know, and am guessing completely, but wonder if the offer is only available to those who have booked sites over tbe summer/ this year???  I could be way out on this one..... The wording in my email was....

"We hope you’ve enjoyed the touring season with us so far this year, especially as the sun came out this summer.

As a thank you for supporting the UK Club campsite network we are delighted to offer you a FREE night on us to enable you to get away again this year....."

Just guessing, so please don't read anything into this folks....

It could also be that some folk haven't had the offer if they have opted not to receive emails???

David I have received the email but have only had the 1 night on a club site this year. I suppose that might count. I had the last free night booked in March but alas I had to forego it due to personal circumstances. Pained me no end. Hopefully we'll be able to make use of this as no minimum number of nights stated as a T&C. Will probably have 2 somewhere, probably Southport.

Could someone explain how the refund will be calculated in this ‘free night’ offer?  The email I have received doesn’t make exactly clear.

Is it one nights pitch fee? What if the nightly Pitch fee varies throughout your stay? Is it Pitch fee and one/all party members? Does it include/exclude extras that form part of your booking?

On a separate issue, whilst I accept it’s designed to encourage new bookings, it does seem unfair that those of us with existing bookings cannot take advantage of the offer

You can use it by making a new booking, between the dates given. You pay as you normally do, then one free night is deducted. When we used ours back in Spring, we paid deposit, opted to pay on arrival and staff did the rest when we booked in.

You could cancel your existing booking, provided it’s more than 21 days away, then rebook it, if it’s between the given dates, and then get the free night? Depends if there are enough pitches free though.

Offer is for first night of your stay, so whatever you would pay that night is free.

I’m not sure what refund you mean. As I understand it, you’re given a voucher code which I believe you use when booking to get your free night. Note, it’s 'free night' and not 'free pitch fee'.

I think you will have to look up the T&Cs or ring CAMC to get more detail. You are as wise as any of us.

Yes, it’s to encourage new bookings. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth! I knew from the start that someone would say it was unfair😆🤣

My first thought was I wonder how many outfits have been put away for season, but that’s a personal thing, Member either chooses to use it or they don’t.

It is a genuine free night offer though. Just choose any site open between dates given, use your personal code, and that’s it.

Indeed, personal choice. To go or to stay home.

I think the terms are very good this time with all only a booking window and a stay window to comply with👍🏻

The way I read it was that you booked as normal then showed the code on arrival to get the first night for free.

we would need to cancel a booking, lose the deposit, only a fiver, I know, and then rebook.
we are away at present and I prefer to book from my PC so I might have a look when I get home to see if it is worth it. After our next booking we won’t be away again this year.

Tap on “My Profile” top right of page, then tap on Edit My Profile, scroll to bottom to set communications preferences. I suspect everyone will get this email, they might just be sending it out in batches. But if not, then contact HQ.

    Snap, Tinny👍😁

It would be useful if CAMC posted on CT explaining the scheme. That’ll probably be on FB where they post site news and so on. 🙄

    Easiest way from Club Together:

    1. Click on your profile picture (yours is a wall - Hadrian's???)

    2. This will take to to your Club Together profile.  Click Edit Your Profile

    3. On the new page, scroll down and you will find My Communication Preferences.

    4. On the next page click on My Communication preferences again.

    5. On the next page, confirm your details and click Next

    6. This will take you to the grid where you can set communication preferences.

    Hope this helps....

We made use of the previous one when returning home from a trip at the beginning of the year, and will most likely do the same when coming back from our next trip, on a site we have not used previously. It works out less expensive than staying the same couple of nights on a CL.

I thought I'd allowed some emails a while ago but upon checking, selecting the relevant box stops them. The free night voucher at the beginning of the year came by post. And then when I tried to use it just after the hacking event, the code wasn't accepted. I did get the money back a few weeks later....

It’s a good offer for those who tour all year round. Drops the nightly average paid. No minimum stay is good, you can just book one night if you want.

It'll be a last minute booking for us.  Carol has just had an op on her hand, so we need to see how she progresses..... and we're waiting for onecof the front seats of the caravan to be returned from Bellfield (a warranty issue) and a leaking window to be fixed...
