Is there a technical section for campervan discussion?

    The Motorhome section covers all motorised caravans. What’s in a name? 😀

    Also the Parts & Accessories section if that’s more appropriate.

    With a rise in the popularity of Campervans and Van Conversions, I think it would be a good idea to start a new section in CT which could also include self-builds. 

    There are a number of issues that are specific to these forms of "compact" LVs.

    But define ‘motorhome’ as opposed to ‘campervan’. It’s easy to separate coachbuilt from PVC but that’s only the body shell and much of the other stuff is common to both. We could end up with so many sections (like another forum I can think of) that the attempt to simplify actually causes more confusion.

    This is the Caravan and Motorhome Club so we have a section for each with another for trailer tent users and I think that’s fine. I’ve had cachbuilts, PVCs and a camper and never felt the need for another section.

    There are lots of very specific related forums out there which are focussed uniquely on campervan issues, even self builds. Don’t think CT really needs another.

    Just rename the "Motorhome" discussion section to "Motorcaravans" which legally covers both forms including self builds.
