Hi, I've noticed recently that whenever I close the door of our caravan the door does not remain closed. The latch of the door doesn't engage with the door frame. The only way I can keep the door closed is if it's locked shut either with the key or from the inside with the handle. Is this something that is normal or should the door remain closed when shut? We've had the caravan from new for just over 12 months now and I'm wondering if this is something that would be covered by the warranty? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Keith

Not too sure I totally understand your problem Keith.  Nevertheless, when you close the door it should remain securely closed without having to lock it.  If you warranty is for more than 12 months back to the dealer to sort it out.  I assume you have checked that the lock is securely screwed onto the door and frame.  Try spraying a little siiicone into the lock, it may be sticking.

It’s not normal by any means. Something is out of line and needs adjusting.

The caravan normally comes with a 3 year warranty, you say you have had the caravan just over 12 months have you had it serviced by an approved engineer within in the set time scale if not the warranty will not be valid
