We have just come back from holiday in Lincolnshire and there was a notice up in the Gents and Ladies toilet asking you NOT to put dog waste in the INTERNAL waste bins by the washbasins I couldn,t believe that members would do such a thing

I’ve seen this sign elsewhere. Is it an issue to do with centralised bins? Folk too lazy to walk a little further deposit the waste. The dish wash area bin on one resent site we visited, which indicated food waste only, was also full of general waste.

The mentality of some doggers beggars belief. Why pick the stuff up in a bag and then drop it when  nobody is looking. A bloke in our village regularly walks 300 yards from his home to drop a poo bag  in the storm water drain outside my house when 20 yards further would take him to doggy bin. The last 5 miles of the Cumbria Way going north towards Carlisle is just a no go area for locals because  you have to keep  watching the path to avoid the stuff. I know that not all doggers are irresponsible but there are enough out there  to give you two a bad name.

I'm sure you meant dog owners, but your comment could be misconstrued by some. The original meaning of dogger was a dutch fishing vessel.

What is doggers in British slang?
noun. slang. the practice of carrying out or watching sexual activities in semi-secluded locations such as parks or car parks, often arranged by e-mail or text messages.

‘The original meaning of dogger was a dutch fishing vessel.’

These original ditch fishing boats were primarily used to fish the Dogger Bank. An area of the North Sea also well known to our East Coast fishing communities.

    Good for a pub quiz!

I think the point has been made about where you should dispose of dog poo and I am sure the vast majority of owners do it correctly. I also suspect that those that don't probably bother to read forums that point out their shortcomings so maybe best to close this discussion, the point having been made?
