Crit air 3 sticker.

Final question........

I have a Crit air 3 sticker on my screen, will this be enough to cover me against breaking any emission rules or fines?

I have no intention of driving into big towns, but anyone can be caught out.

The more I search, the more confused I get.  I know it doesn't take much to confuse me.

Regards.

You should be OK, I don't think anywhere in France has introduced fines for lower emissions than this. To check standards in Europe use an App called Green Zones.

Greylag.  Relax, you will be surprised how straight forward it is driving in France!  Your Crit Air fine.  Just remember usual insurances (travel and breakdown/recovery), get the health card (was EHIC) and take vehicle docs V5 and MOT. Check your passports meet new requirements.  Get a Credit Card that has no foreign use charges, there are plenty about and when using ensure the payment is in euros; this is normal but occasionally you may see that payment has been converted to sterling, just ask them to change it to euros. We use our card for almost everything but have some cash for very small purchases (coffee etc). We usually go to France 2 or 3 times a year.  Loads of speed cameras now so watch it!  Don't know when you are going, but if out of peak season you may find it worthwhile joining ACSI.

    Thanks for that!

I am fairly relaxed, just like to be sure.

We are sitting down this afternoon to make sure all is in order.

Travel doc's all done.  Clarity credit card for foreign travel done.

Know about card purchases in Euro's.

We seem to have done all that you suggest.

Thanks for taking time to reply.

    Peedee...Thanks for the Crit info.....phew!

Next Wednesday, Newhaven ferry, then all points south.

    Thanks to all for helping.
