Price drop on over 1.5 million pitches

I compared prices in another thread Corners🙂. Even with the lowering of Club Site prices, I can still stay around Hope/Castleton area, on what some would now call a commercial site. Without the pooch it would be £8 per night cheaper, £6 with him, but it has two decent dog walks, footpath adjacent and a good on site shop, which Castleton Club Site doesn’t have. The dog walk at Castleton is very poor, and the roads outside to get elsewhere are busy with narrow footpaths. Half mile walk into Castleton from Club Site, half mile walk into Hope from Laneside.

Apologies, I should have put the Mam Tor road, rather than closed road. It’s used nowadays for parking up. We ambled past Club Site around 7pm, so a lot of MH’s still out if your theory is correct. Castleton is a bit like York RP, it’s a site where a lot of MH users park up and walk into town, or do the famous walks in area. It will be full at weekend I am sure👍

Sorry, that would be off topic.🙂 But feel free to start your own thread elsewhere, I’m sure that you might catch a few happy to engage and politely discuss.

It's the same in the Lake District. There are regular updates about the number of M/Hs parking up overnight in the N/T car parks and along the roadside in the Derwent/ Keswick area, and comments on the mess that they leave behind. It's not as if there is a shortage of official campsites in the area.

Thank you everyone for any constructive feedback and thoughts shared. As we have had a number of reports the discussion is going off topic, and we hope all Club Together members are now aware of the price drop, I will close this discussion.
