Caravanning in Albania

We want to take a long trip next year to include Albania. does anyone have any experience of caravanning there?Any sites that you would recommend or avoid?Did you get insurance ok?any tips would be welcome. Many thanks

    My grand daughter went into Albania by public bus from Montenegro last month and said her worldwide health / travel insurance was valid, but getting comprehensive motor insurance may well be impossible - and only a few UK companies such as NFU Mutual will even  include third party insurance for Albania. Other forums often include information about buying motor insurance at the Albanian border but no one ever seems sure what cover it provides.

    Emily wasn’t camping so can’t help with sites, but ACSI and PitchUp look as though they can. Good luck.

    If you do Facebook there is a group called       'Motorhoming in Europe after Brexit'

    Lots of people on there go to and through Albania so it might be a good place to ask questions. It does get favourable reviews from the group.
