DFDS Ferry Updates

In the past, pre pandemic, I was able to read live ferry updates and port conditions from DFDS directly from my mobile phone. I cannot find a way to do that this year without using Twitter. I tried to get info this morning. I signed in with my Google Account details, had to then go through 2 stage verification with my phone and then when I thought I’d got there I had to sign in with my Twitter username! I do not do social media, I don’t want a Twitter account. Does that mean DFDS cannot tell me what the conditions are like at the port on my sailing day? I looked for other web sites including Port of Dover but could find no live updates just links to ‘old news stories” highlighting past problems over many years.

Can anybody tell me of a way to get this information without Twitter?

I should have mentioned that I have downloaded the DFDS App on my phone but there does not appear to be any live updates there either?

On the web site under our routes, travel information, live travel updates.

It does say to keep up to date by checking this page and following us on twitter. I would therefore assume that any issues would be highlighted on that page at the same time as twitter.

Have just checked my App & yes, as you say it takes you to Twitter for live updates of which I also have no a/c & no intention to either yell

Even their website only gives this option!

You could try ferrytracker.net for live real time updates on where a ferry is - you can see if the one you're going for is coming in on time etc.

    No log in required

The Ferry Forum (open access) has the facility to track the comings and goings of every ferry with every company. You can see where the ship is, its speed and direction and what time it will arrive at your port. Is that the information you want?
