Food to France

We are travelling from uk into France then onto Switzerland and Austria does anyone know the actual food restrictions and the allowed quantities of unrestricted items there are so many contradictions it’s a minefield

    The rules are very simple  - no meat, milk or their products. You choose whether to obey or not.

    We are in France at the moment.When we came over on the ferry we obeyed all rules, so arrived quite late at night without even any milk for a cup of tea. Next morning no butter for the croissants. Of course we managed & there are supermarkets everywhere. At the ferry no-one asked if we had any food & no-one checked the caravan. Next year we’ll risk bringing milk & a couple of other items.

    Hi,

    We have done the same as most others are now doing, taking within reason what you wish in sensible quantities and worry not.
