Overnight stay at Dieppe ferry port

Getting the Newhaven to Dieppe ferry 5pm - 10pm. Was wondering if anyone knew if you were allowed to stay in the Dieppe Ferry port after the crossing?

    Allowed? Yes of course - it’s France.

    Space? Doubtful .May be full of trucks waiting for midnight departure.

    Alternatives? E mail all five local campsites and ask if they take late arrivals 

    Plan C.?   Auchan supermarket car park.
