We visited Snaizeholme as a family several decades ago. Save for a few patches of ancient woodland and a small isolated population of Red Squirrels it was poor in biodiversity due to the actions of man although rugged in its beauty. Plans are now afoot to restore and rewild much of this Yorkshire valley, yet another excellent project in the making.

I’m hoping to make several visits to witness its development.

I guess Richmond Hargill House is the closest Club Site to Snaizeholme, is there another closer or better situated for a visit?
