I'm sure it is and I'm sure they're both really grateful!
But, to return to the OP's query don't you think it might be really useful to Surfer (and others) to recommend by name these excellent sites you've found over here? I guess it's more than just your friends who have appreciated your recommendations of overseas sites.

I am totally amazed how this thread has developed into an argument with some defending the CAMC. I tried to find fully serviced pitches using the CAMC search engine, but this was impossible to I posted in case I was missing a trick.
I was then given advice to try another forum to do the search and this is what i did and it threw up a site with fully serviced pitches in an area we would like to visit. It was then noticed that the price of fully serviced pitch which included awning and one dog was nearly £12 cheaper than a CAMC fully serviced pitch not too far away.
Consequently we booked the commercial site and those that are always complaining they cannot get a pitch on weekends on a CAMC should be grateful as there is now space for them on a CAMC site or will they be finding something else to complain about? LOL!

Defending the CAMC? It's not about defense it's about stating a view, or are defensive posts those one doesn't agree with?
Anyway I'm glad you found what gives you VFM.

I'm not sure that's a fair summation of the way the thread has developed, Surfer. Some have compared club sites & prices against commercial equivalents but I'm pretty sure no-one has defended the aspect of the club that you were enquiring about.
But I'm a bit confused (easily done
) - you say your search using the other method "threw up" a suitable site and yet you also say that it is a site you'd already visited (pre Covid). So what benefit was the search on this occasion?

Good morning everyone. Since the OP has found a solution and we have also had a number of reports about some of the comments, I will be closing this discussion.
Surfer, thank you for alerting us of the issues you've had finding a Service Pitch. As mentioned previously by a contributor you can find campsites with service pitches on an existing discussion HERE and I will also pass on your feedback that you would like to be able to filter for them.
