Going back to France again

We have recently returned from our first trip to France in over two years and what a breath of fresh air to stay on sites where no-one bothers how you pitch on your plot or measures distances from pegs.

There were no pages of rules to observe and prices were well below UK sites, even without ACSI discounts.

No need to book ahead outside August and we didn’t need to say how long we intended to stay or pay in advance.

Most sites had free Wi-Fi and covered swimming pools are common - all included in the price.

Like in the UK there are sites of all standards, but if you are prepared to pay about half the nightly charge for a club site you are likely to get all the above facilities.

If you switch to a MH you will find it’s even better. Hundreds of Aires available, so you are almost certain to find one close to where you want to stop, open when a lot of sites have closed for the season as well.

Yes we like Touring in France but equally enjoy it here. As you say not as free and easy and more expensive site wise. However, we’ve a very nice diverse country, which it would be a shame to miss out on.
