Places to avoid when Motor-homing or Caravanning?

Hi All.. 

I am brand new to motorhoming and my wife and I are very excited about embarking on our first trip. Eventually, we would like to tour the UK coast ( in sections ) and would really value some advice from all you experienced motorhomers & Caravanners. 

I’ve stumbled across numerous horror stories online ( unsure how much of it is true but then there’s no smoke without fire as they say ) Namely.. Are there any places anyone recommends we avoid completely due to hostile experiences of any kind or any sense of discomfort??

I want to make sure my wife and I have the safest most enjoyable trips we can over the coming years and I would hugely appreciate any comments you guys can make about this.
