Alarm problem

I have an eight year old Compass Rallye with factory fitted alarm.

The alarm keeps being triggered for no apparent reason. I have tried renewing the batteries in the pir but without any success.

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    It may depend on what's happening around the  caravan.  Our motorhome is parked on the drive and we found the alarm was triggered by farm traffic and lorries going past on the road.  The answer was to disengage the movement sensor when setting the alarm. Thankfully the road studs (not allowed to call them cat's eyes) have been removed so the vibration/noise is not so bad now.

    Road vibration etc. is not an issue. Alarm goes off even when very quiet and still.
