Hi Everyone,

We are planning a month long trip to Spain soon. Any advice on gas refills welcome please. Are Spanish bottles readily available? Ant brands more easy to get than others? Should we buy an adaptor in UK? Help much appreciated

We picked a half full Repsol bottle up for £25 off Ebay. Search "Spanish gas bottle" there's a CEPSA bottle now for £40 pick up in Birmingham. There are usually bottles for sale at flee markets.

Ditto, we got a s/h 13kgs Spanish Repsol (Butano) through a CMC member on this very forum which then inevitably froze up en-route in Folkstone in chilly Jan 2018. Easily changed at many Spanish outlets onto Propano and at Border fuel stop and was about 30% cost against UK prices. Different regulator / bottle top connection is needed - eBay etc assists. Found Cepsa gas less available in some areas. Vast areas of Spain do not have mains Gas so bottles easy & cheap. Not available in France etc.

We always try to bring & use a full Repsol Propano bottle back with us for out next return trip to Spain but also carry a Calor Lite 6kgs as emergency.

There was some time ago a Motorhome repair shop near Huddersfield who used to sell Repsol bottles & bits - google.
