I don't know if anyone else has noticed it - but since this site was down for "maintenance", the other day - now, having logged in, every time I shut the page down, it automatically logs me out. Previously, once having logged in for the day, I stayed logged in until I shut the computer down. It's a bit of a pain having to log in again, every time I open the page.

I'm running Monterey on an iMac and using Chrome.

What's even more weird is that on my Macbook Air, I stay logged in even after shutting down the computer and starting it up again.  Got me baffledundecided

It is not good practice to stay logged in if not in use. I think most sites logg you off when you leave the site. If you really do want to stay logged on keep a C&MC tab open.

Agree - but I do.  Caravan Talk, for example, leaves you logged in forever.  I just wondered why it had suddenly changed. Can work round it, as you say, but annoying nevertheless.

It does seem to be logging me off a lot more lately. I access the site on an iPad using Safari. It does not seem consistent though, this morning I was still logged in from yesterday, then it will log me off every time I shut the page for a while. I must admit I to never logging off, unlike other sites I use where credit card details are involved. I suppose with the advent of deposits I should get used to doing it on here. Perhaps they are working on getting it to automatically throw you out. Tescos certainly does.

SL, I use Google on my iPad & as per PD I use the open tab. I only get logged out if I shut the pad down.

Mine is as per Rocky's with Safari but it went through a spell back along of logging me out if i went to another website or app even if I left the tab open. The vagaries of CT😁

Not noticed any difference on my Windows 10 PC. I tend to have the tab for the Club website pinned and is open as long as the PC is on. The only time it logs me out during the day is when I accidentally close it down or I have to do a restart for an upgrade.

I'm on a MacBook Air and despite closing the page it leaves me logged in when I return to it.

At least CT is consistent in its inconsistencies.smile

Some days I'm logged out and other days I'm not. There is not a pattern as to when and how this happens. Like other things with this website I just accept that it's a pain to use, full stop.

my lap top keeps me logged in. It seems I only need to avert my gaze from my phone & I'll have to log in again ..... PITA

And it's no more secure as my phone remembers my email address & password.

Same here, WN. Even to the extent that after I've switched the MacBook off - and returned to it a few days later - I'm still logged in.  But not on the iMac.  Just can't understand that bit.

Sometimes I stay logged in other times not, no Idea why! One of the many annoying quirks on CT.😉
